What was there to miss? San Antonio always had dunkin donuts. In other words, DD is just expanding now and people are excited about that. Completely different situation than another situation such as In-and-Out opening here which is completely new to the area.

I think you misread...
I couldn't care less that people want X chain or Y chain restaurant here. What I don't understand is why people get so upset when a restaurant opens here. If they don't like said restaurant, don't patronize it, if enough people feel the way you do, it will close due to lack of business.

It's a superiority thing, nothing else. The urbanites feel better about themselves for shunning chains and looking down upon anyone who dares to admit they've eaten at one. It's quite strange, that one would concern themselves with any emotions whatsoever about where someone else chooses to eat.

Is that sorta like someone who concerns themselves so much with another poster that their tagline has his name in it?

Pot. Kettle. Black.

But I digress- You're making this a black and white issue and it's really not: You can easily be a foodie who has the money/will to spend at great restaurants, but also appreciate what mass-market chains offer too. As I said in my last post on this thread, there's a ton of regional chains I miss... But not so much that I would start a thread about it or hoot & holler about one coming to this city.

Why would you concern yourself with what's on my tagline? ROFL I think I am done here.

Enjoy spending your money wherever you want. Leave others alone. And no, this isn't directed towards "you."

She just wants some loving and attention.

Anyways, to put this thread back on topic.... Does anyone know if Furr's cafeterias still have any locations here in San Antonio? I always liked their salad bar part, but not the rest so much.

The Chuy's has been open for at least two weeks. We're planning on doing lunch there tomorrow so I can let everyone know how it goes.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if they were all shut down or just some of them.

It's still a new restaurant. And the one that hung on was very far away from me.
