It is because many people are being excessive, greedy and unreasonable. Fill up ones tank if they are that concerned. Dont fill up ones tank and also fill up 5, 1 - 5 gallon buckets as some are reporting.

This kind of emotional, freak out, greedy and irrational behavior only hurts every single person who will need to get gas. Make no mistake, this irrational behavior will negatively affect both availability and price for everyone here in San Antonio.

This reminds me of how people acted in grocery stores when they expected Harvey to hit.

I heard about it here last night. Some of the stations in Stone Oak were already out then. I did notice a few pumps empty when I got gas yesterday at noon but didn't think much of it. I think someone else panicked with the Houston refineries closed, posted it all over social media and bam....we have a panicked run. We will have a shortage until the trucks can bring in more. I have heard reports that fuel trucks are around San Antonio. We just need more due to the run. Unfortunately I'm taking my mother-in-law for radiation treatments everyday and it took 1/4 of a tank yesterday. I'm hoping the fuel trucks come sooner rather than later.

If you truly need fuel today, wait and get it after nightfall. Lines will be shorter then. This is just people doing it at the end of their workday or after dinner.

A bunch of fools.... All you mathematicians figure how much excess gas inventory, when most people drive with a half tank, decide to panic and fill up, is removed from the market?

Folks, this is not the ineptitude of Jimmy Carter.
