See's is closing at the North Star Mall. Their last day will be September 23.
The nearest location will be in Austin.

The HEB on Wurzback and NW Military had a section with boxed See's candies. They ditched their fancy truffles (sad) but had the See's last time I looked.

Malls are dying anyway.

Was going to mention the same about the HEB selling See's.

We get See's from time to time at work from certain visitors and they are good but seem to be the same as Russell Stover quality so I can't imagine the loss of the store being that big of a deal.

I think Sees is more of a California thing. My parents both grew up there, and for them Sees is good chocolate and Russell Stover is a poor imitation. There is a difference in quality, and definitely a difference in price to go along with it.

You are probably right as I am a poor judge of chocolate candy. I am not a huge fan of chocolate candy and only eat them if someone brings them to my work or house.

Btw...I have seen See's candies at the airport. Just throwing another option out there.

I wonder if they will go back to a holiday kiosk?

Long before they opened the store, they had a kiosk during the holiday season.

I am sorry to see the store go. Fantastic candies.
