Default chinese tea gardens

here are some i recently took of the tea gardens. when looking at the last photo, at the top of that rock ridge, is a road called 'alpine drive'. years ago, one could drive on it. but when I 37 was put thru, all that stopped.
one entrance to this alpine drive is right across the street from the zoo entrance. you will see a small road with a chain or cable across it. this is alpine drive. you could drive up here, and come out on the other end by the tea gardens, close to st. marys street. that entrance is still there too, but is blocked off in the same manner as by the zoo. all one can do now is actually go there, and walk it; or you can save the legs and 'google-drive'. enjoy!Attachment 112351

Looks like the McNay has had some improvements since the 70's when I was familiar with it. Great shots Elnina! I'm growing Sago palms right now.
