That's it. I'm goin' to Fred's (the sparkling new one on Culebra) this week. I've been putting it off for 24 years. But after that visual of the greasy corn-sloppin' cook, I'm so there.

I work with a woman that says back in the day, Fred's was really good.

Something about it is really good, I have no idea what! I havent eaten there in a looong time though I imagine the "recipe" couldnt possibly have gotten any worse. LOL

A co-worker of mine likes them but I didn't care for it too much. It's nothing special, just a piece of frozen, square fish with fries and bread. BTW, what kind of fish is square .
Funny, I didn't like it but after reading this thread now I'm craving it .

has anyone had Golden Nugget??? dh swears it is better than Fred's --- when he patrols whatever side of town the Nugget is on he MUST stop and get some --- sorry if this was brought up already in this thread, i didn't read thru the whole thing ---

Where is Golden Nugget? There used to be one on Gen McMullen but it is closed.

I think there's one at Babcock and Huebner.

you know, i am not sure where it is --- dh is teaching a day class today, so he's not home right now, but when he gets home later i will ask and post where it is...
