Default The cost to register a vehicle.

Moving to the area, Oregon costs 35.00 a year to register a vehicle, what are the costs in San Antonio?

I just happen to have mine right here and it's $72.30 + something like $2 if you do it online, which saves about $5 in gas and is SO much easier.. I have to check the mail before I pay it though to see if my increased disability rating from the VA has arrived. I've been delaying payment of the registration for as long as possible to give them time, but they're sloooow.. tags are only $3/year if you are VA 60% or more disabled

Other than registration fees, are there yearly taxes, or any other fees that we should know about?

Just the inspection sticker, which is about $13--I think!!

Then the fun stuff, like insurance, tires, and the costs involved when one sells a kidney to fill up the tank.

But no property taxes!

Then you have to apply for the title transfer and that includes a inspection to verify the oregon title against the vehicle VIN number.

Oh............I thought it was "pot's not legal here!" I keed, I keed.

Do they have to pay sales tax upon moving here with the car--or do you just mean that they have to start paying sales tax on things they buy?

I don't know about movement of the car....but they will certainly be paying our wonderful sales tax on the things they buy. I think there are only a few states left with no sales tax. Oregon and Delaware come to mind..there are a couple more.

Not only will they have to pay sales tax...now they will be forced to pump their own gas. Only in Oregon and NJ is it illegal to pump your own gas.
