We us Allied Waste and they also have a special fee haul off if you call them...I have never used it, but seem to recall it is about $25 or so and you just call and schedule but I think that is ONLY if you are a customer of theirs for normal pickup.

Well, how'd it go? Find any campsites??

And several of us have agreed that we need to get together soon. Ideas anyone? Date/time/place??????

That new place that opened up at 151/Weisman could maybe be fun? (Even tho I personally can't stand country music ~ but I'd put up with it for awhile, especially with a cold beverage in hand! )

Well according to Reserve America, Garner and Choke Canyon are the only SP's with open sites. We're driving down to CC tomorrow to check it out, and go from there. Both sites are about 1.5 hours away. Any ideas? Which do you like better??

I'm not much into country myself, but I don't mind it! I like the atmosphere sometimes. We should find a place nearby that can handle a rowdy group of us, and has some cold brew on tap (at least...)

On another note, we had my soon-to-be-7 yr old's birthday party at Kid Playtime on Potranco - we had a blast!

Headin' down to Poteet (daughter's house) and she doesn't have internet, so call me if you have any questions, but here's my ideas on Corpus (that's what you meant by CC, right?);

We've camped at Malaquite Beach a couple of times and really like it. We've done both the "primitive" camp and the campsites. Both have their pros/cons. Primitive is nice cause you can be right on the water (well, on the other side of the "road" from the water), but the restrooms are quite a drive/hike (and only cold water for showers). Campsites are nice because they have showers (again, coldwater)/restrooms right there, so sittin and talkin and drinkin by the campfire after dark isn't such a hassle! (If ya know what I mean! ) However, there's large dunes between the campground and the water. I dunno what the temps would be like in the water this time of year, tho.......

I think that new place (The Stockyards) could handle our group and sounds like they do currently have drinks/beer on tap. Could be fun?????

Gotta hear about the Kids Playtime place! We're trying to plan a combo party for our two youngest, and the thought of all those kids at the house is frightening!!!!

There was a meeting at Stephens HS a week or so ago about the new automated garbage pick-up service coming to our area (78251). Did anyone attend that and what's the scoop?

Uuuuhhhh, think that was at least a month ago. The meeting was at least a week or two before our new automated service began, and I'd say we've had it at least 3 weeks......

Anyway, didn't attend the meeting, but those I've talked to who did said they basically explained all the stuff that was tied to the new cans. Anything in particular you're curious about?
