+1 for common sense

but I think it's still getting its butt kicked in the overall game

any news on Shipleys? and my daughter said there's a new chinese food place opening on Potranco, but I forgot to ask her where.

I'm sure we've talked about this on here a few times, but what are everyone's feelings on getting a farmer's market started in our area? We're close enough to Castroville, etc, to get some good produce, maybe some of the homeowners in the area would like to bring stuff out.

I'll start a thread on it if need be - I'm just trying to get a feel on it, to see if it's worth the effort to try and get one started. The one downtown is nice, but it's getting a 'trendy' feel to it, and that kind of bothers me!

gwrober- I think that would be a GREAT IDEA. As you stated our close distance to Castroville, Lytle, and Natalia would bring those folks in.

Do you feel that the ones that may have Crafts along with Produce are worth having or just the Produce, Jams, Jellies, etc.?

That idea would be great for Westcreek at the our Sportspark where the shade would be an asset. It's close enough for all the others in the area.

I wonder if a Permit is needed either through COSA or Bexar County.

Does anybody know when are they starting construction on the Carls jr on 151. I passed through there last week but no signs of any yet. The one in Bandera has some of the structure up already. And also is it going to have The Green Burrito like the one on 35. I went to austin on Friday night and I had to stop at the Carls jr in san marcos but it doesn't have the green burrito menu. I was craving a steak burrito but had to settle for a burger, which wasn't bad at all, win win situation

And about that light on 1604. I got off work early the other day and they actually had painted the lines and had the signals working, only on caution. Which I didn't know and almost hit the truck in front of me because I guess it caught them of guard too. He or she started to go left, then they hit the break, then accelerated when I guess they realized they were on the lane to turn left on emory. Although I like the idea of not going to marbach to turnaound to get to the wolf creek subdivision I think the problem is going north on 1604. That light is just passed that curb. I just wished they would've have put more thought into it rather then just slapping it in there.

I hate to say this but there will be accidents there. 1604 as a four lane highway should not have any lights as already stated. All we have to do is think about the 1604 Intersections at 151, Wiseman. Military, Potranco, and Marbach. Everyone who reads this can say that they personally have either witnessed accidents or the aftermath of them.

Just yesterday while leaving Westcreek (approx. 3:00pm) at Military I witnessed 3 cars heading south on 1604 trying to beat the light . One was a large dumptruck.

I know we can kiss the overpasses goodbye for now and probably forever. All we can do is contact SAPD's and BCSD's Traffic Divisions and ask them for more Patrol. Like you all I would rather see them issue tickets (a money generator as some say although I don't think so) then to hear about someone getting hurt or dying.

that new light is almost as retarded as the drivers that slow down for it. It's flashing yellow, just freaking drive through it!
these are the same idiots that used to slam on their brakes for the left turn light onto 151 from 1604..

sounds interesting, as long as it's not trendy. I know what you mean by the trendy thing and I do not like it either.

Maybe by the end of the year...the one at Bandera & Eckhert has only been partially developed so far....it's slow going for both.
