I was outside 1604 on Potranco heading towards 1604 just before 1 pm today. The barriers were up and a DOT(?) truck was sitting there with his flashing yellow lights going. LOTS of cars were going around the barriers. I chose to cut through Walmart and do the turnaround a bit south on 1604. When I got back up to the Potranco intersection, I saw SAPD with one car pulled over. As he finished with that one, SAPD did a u-turn back towards the barriers, did another u-turn and pulled over a car who had also come around the barrier. Not sure how many tickets he wrote but he could have solved any CoSA budget issues there today.

That's one form of revenue generation I support and it's not like you have to try to look for them either

Good Afternoon,

At approx 7:45 this morning I was driving on Talley from Westcreek to FM471 . About midway I saw an eldery man pulled over and the front on his small car was totaled. He already had help so I did'nt stop. I was certain that he hit a deer. Well about 45 minutes to 1 hour later as I was returning home a large buck stumbled over the road and collasped, he was in bad shape. There is no doubt that it was the one that the man had hit. BCSD was speaking to the man and I asked if he saw the buck which he did. He said he would drive down and shoot him.

I just wanted you all to know that the deer are out there and to be on the lookout. I travel Talley several times a week and that's the least of my thoughts.

I don't know, but I found the porta potty at the entrance of the construction site a little strange. You can basically be sitting there on the crapper not three feet away from Potranco Rd. Not sure if that's a or a

and poor deer. People need to drive with their eyes open.

I've noticed that too...it looks to be in the same general area where the planned apartments were going to be built...Potranco Ranch or something like that. It was mentioned in an older thread by me on here. Could be wrong though..here's the old link I posted with it from 2007.

It looks like they may be working on a road. Not sure. But if they are, and they install a signal light there, man, look out for MAJOR traffic snarls because that signal would be short-spaced with the one by WalMart.

I might be making a purchase at that Lock N Load place. I've been looking for a Mossberg Road Blocker and can't find it anywhere in the city. The guy there offered to order it for me for $419 and I haven't even found that price online. Picture of it is below, or you can check it out here: O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc. - Firearms, Shotguns, Rifles, Accessories, and Precision Machining (http://www.mossberg.com/products/default.asp?id=5 - broken link)

My father says that sounds like a good price, rd2007...he's pretty much an expert on guns. He has a Marina 12 gauge that he uses and a Judge.
