Does anyone know what was going on at Potranco/1604 around 6:30 last evening? When I came up to the intersection, there were two police cars, and while I was waiting at the light, a third one arrived. From I could see, they were talking to a slightly disheveled gentlemen. Any idea what was going on?

I don't think there's such a thing as too early to be drunk driving in this city, so maybe that was the case? I know there was a big gravel truck parked on Potranco just before wallyworld at around 4:30 PM yesterday. He had one flasher on, but was parked in the middle of the road and there wasn't anywhere to turn left. Looked like it just died there and he only had one hazard light working. Traffic was backed up past the Culebra Meat Market and I'm sure they weren't happy. I was out and about in that area yesterday afternoon/early evening and the traffic was awful and the people were extra insane. A girl almost hit me making a right turn onto Potranco from the left turn lane of that shopping center where Pei Wei is. I was making a right turn from the correct lane and I could hear her scream when she floored it without looking and missed me by a couple inches. Stupid and dangerous kid driver.

I dont know what happened, but I was in the traffic as well, and my husband noticed that the "slightly disheveled gentlemen" had a wet spot in the crotch of his pants..like he had wet himself

Appeared that a young girl was hit by a car at the crosswalk in front of Luna MS yesterday afternoon. She was walking and only slightly favoring her leg. Lots of cars were backed up waiting for it to clear.

Yesterday morning, another SUV coming out of Luna, in the left lane, turned right (I was in the right lane to turn right). She then zoomed through the same crosswalk as a girl was walking across the road and continued on at probably twice the speed limit.

To those of you who may not have read Bowie's post about not discussing bad drivers in the San Antonio forum......here it is

"For those who may have missed the edict: bad driver stories are off limits in the SA forum right now. Please DO NOT post your stories about encounters with drunk drivers. Thanks.

Other types of replies are fine"

So refrain from discussing bad drivers. Threads have been closed previously, because it was getting out of control.
Thanks and happy posting

Hopefully this will increase BCSD presence in the area although it is good right now.

Is the Which Wich still open over that way? I ate there once when it first opened, and frankly, it was pretty dirty inside and the sandwiches were just so-so. Well, fast forward 6 months or so, and my son wanted Which Wich--we found ourselves in the Huebner/10 area, and ate at that one, and it was pretty tasty. Just curious if I was at the Potranco one on a bad day? Or is that pretty typical?
