It is very possible that we might be moving to SA in the next month or two. I would be working in Stone Oak area. We are wanting to rent until we sell our house here. I am looking for something close to where I will be working (20 min drive max) in a good neighborhood (ie...don't have to worry about car being broken into...etc). I am needing a 2 bedroom that allows dogs (ours is about 55lb lab mix) and I am looking to spend not much more than $800 a month. Any suggestions?

I just flew down to SA over the weekend to get an apartment (so we could have an address for the movers). We rented with The Views at Encino Commons (I think that is the full name). Structure of lease is as follows:

12 month lease
$925/month
1st 2 months free
Paid $500 for option to break at anytime after lived there 4 months

2br/2ba about $1,100 sq ft. Its about 1 mile from the Stoneoak Pkwy off 281 N.

Hope this helps..

Luxury Apartment Homes - Mansions at Canyon Springs :: San Antonio, TX

I know that Mansions is currently looking for residents and making great deals on short/long term leases. It's a nice looking property, but is also still under construction on some parts of it.

I'd consider this an AYOR (At Your Own Risk). Good luck!

I had a friend that lived in Clairmore, corner of Sonterra and Stone Oak. Not bad, $600+ for a one bedroom. Nice physically, nice clientelle, pool... but horrible customer service... heaven forbid you need something in your apartment fixed!

I would get in touch with apartment locator services. They are free to you, and they know all the ins and outs. They were able to find us a breakable lease when we needed one.
