Im planning to move to San Antonio this June. Iíve saved quite a bit of money and have a fair credit score. Iím moving up with my partner so weíre looking for a 1 bedroom apartment in the city. Iím a first time renter. Iíve only ever lived at home or in the dorms, so I donít have any renterís history. Iím graduating college this May, so Iím looking to pursue my career up there. Iím a full time server for now and i make decent money and iím set up to transfer so I would have a secure job. My partner is a stylist and is also pursuing his career there.

He lived in San Antonio previously for two years near Fredicksburg Rd. So weíre looking for apartments in that area. Weíve narrowed our options and are planning to begin submitting applications. Weíre looking to live anywhere near there, the medical center, or by North Star. Weíre fairly active and young so we like that Šrea because itís a short 10-15 min drive from north main st, and the pearl isnít too far either, Southtown is such a huge drive either. We both have cars so commuting wouldnít be an issue. W have a few questions though.

How hard will it be for me to get approved to lease an apartment without any renters history? And Iím the event that we needed a guarantor, do we each need our own or are we ok with one for the both of us. If you guys have any recommendations for specific areas or complexes that you guys have lived in that would serve as a good first-time renter home and would make it an easy transition please let me know.

Thank you
