Sounds very interesting, actually from how I know it Costco (no I do not work for them) is more likely of the last few years to purchase the land, when possible, in order to build the larger stores and have enough room for gas and traffic control. Stay tuned boys and girls, looks like we are going to get our Costco wishes fulfilled!!

I CAN ONLY PRAY!!! Either Walmart (Culebra or Potranco) would be good...but Potranco and 1604 would be FANTASTIC!!!!

I believe they have "Gold Star" and "Executive" levels.

Gold Star = $50 annually
Executive = $100 annually. We have this one. They give you an extra card for another person. Also get 2% back on everything, and if the 2% doesn't add up to the $50 difference in membership cost by the end of the year, they send you a check for the difference. (she spends beaucoup there...so never have gotten the check.)

There are probably a lot of details that I'm leaving out, but my wife loves the place.

That's the last I heard too - the area along 1604 between Culebra and 90 is pretty well 'cut up' on paper already....

That Wal-Mart is pretty nasty! I keep thinking it is going to get in shape because of the higher priced housing popping up, but its been two years with no changes. Wal-Mart, especially that one, REALLY needs to learn how to staff their stores properly!

If you are referring to the Potranco location, I agree. I still prefer the Culebra Rd location, altho I find myself there less and less since the Potranco store opened.

I can't tell you the difference, only that it is enough to keep me from wanting to go there.

Let me guess, Costco, Best buy, Target etc.......all the same stuff. I really wish we had the economy like Houston's. They have some great shopping center's with nice little original shops. I think culebra's shopping center was on point years ago with eddie bauer and bombay furniture. I guess another rack room shoes or panda express is what we have to look forward to....hmmmmm, maybe a good bar?!?!?!?!?

I must say, the stores that are moving into the AR Shopping Center are "on-point" with the needs of the community. I would wager to say that most of us would shop at a Target over Eddie Bauer (for most of our needs, at least). I don't argue that the shopping center could a) look a bit nicer, and b) have some stores that aren't already everywhere else. However, I think we should wait to see what stores fill in the rest of the shopping center before passing final judgment.

I for one can say it's nice finally having some stores we use over in this area. We just ran over to the Auto Zone and it was nice not having to drive so far for one little thing. We have lived out here for 17 years and it has been great. On one hand I hate to see all the development but if it has to come, let it be something useful. I agree that they are all starting to look the same, but it's not as far for me to drive so I am ok with most of it. I wish we could get a "clean" Ross. That would be nice.
