Thank you, I did not know that. Yes, I am afraid the traffic on AP is going to get a lot worse. I think it will get better when they finish with the construction on Culebra.

I don't think the 'master plan' calls for any conncection of Wiseman and the Alamo Parkway. The houses seem more upscale to the left of Alamo Ranch Parkway and I'm sure the developer has told the residents there won't be a conncection between the two.

If 151 continued thru to the Alamo Ranch Parkway and Culebra had FOUR lanes, there really wouldn't be a real need to connect the Alamo Ranch Pkwy and Wiseman.

New change >> Roft Rd (road to the shooting range) now connects to the Alamo Ranch Parkway. I just looked on google maps and it doesn't reflect this yet and neither does my GPS.

Good News!

McDonald's, Valero, and Mama Margies's (Mama Margie's Mexican Cafe - San Antonio Restaurant) coming to Westwood Loop and Culebra which is just across Culebra from AR Retail Center. Scheduled to open sometime in 2008 (3rd quarter they're saying.

Also, take a look in that weingarten link at the Culebra Creek Regional Youth Sports Complex....it's going to be huge if the satelite photo is correct.

Wow, McDonald's! Considering there is one in the WalMart at Culebra/1604 and a new one opening up at Shaenfield and 1604, it is exactly what the area needs! And there is a new Valero 1.5 miles west from the Culebra/1604 interchange.

And Culebra Creek runs right through that proposed sports complex. so don't let the larger area marked off fool you. It would almost be nicer if they developed that area into hiking trails and what not along the creek. Of course that would also require running off all the homeless people that live on the east side of the 1604 bridge over Culebra Creek, right behind Walgreens. They are the homeless that panhandle at the 1604/Culebra intersection all the time...

Cheers! M2

Default Super Suppers Closing

Just got an email from Super Suppers saying they were closing at the end of this month. I hate that, too. I had just gotten to a point where I could budget for a few of those meals each month to help stay away from drive throughs and delivery.
The email is too long to quote here - there's likely something on the website. But the owners states "unforeseen personal issues" as the reason for closing. She's selling everything AND the kitchen sink, apparently.

ugh! I wonder if the road construction had anything to do with it? I know that *I* haven't been to SS in quite awhile, and mostly it's because of the road issues. Feel horrible for her/them. She's the sweetest person, was always trying to make sure they provided the best customer service. I would have loved to see that business be a success! Sad.

Yea, quite sad to see the Super Suppers close...was so convenient to make several dinners and drag home to pop in the oven once home from work. I think the concept is wonderful, sure hope that she and the family are healthy and that is not the issue. She is a VERY nice lady who really deserves so much success.
