OK...all of you "naysayers" we KNOW that you think "this is a real estate ploy" story...but it is AGAIN in the headlines that SA is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation.....now if only we could CHOOSE the types that moved here to keep the city as friendly as it is.

Since some of that growth is and will be due to the Fort Sam expansion, I would say that the Federal government is doing some of the choosing for us.

And that is OK with me for sure...with 4 kiddos and 3 son in laws in the military (and the 5th kiddo goes into USMC bootcamp on 14 April), I KNOWS they is good people! While not a surprise, I was shocked to see its level of national significance. So significant that the headline made it to the Drudge Report.

I keep tellin' my husband we've made the best decision in the world CHOOSING to move to SA for our last military assignment. Good weather, good schools, good cost of living and folks who know how to say "Hey!" and "Ya'll". Can't wait! 72 more days...
