Utilities will depend on a number of things. Size and construction of the home are the main two. Is the house well insulated? Radiant barrier? Solar Screens? Heat pump? One/Two AC units? One story/2 story?

That being said, seems like ours runs right at $95/month on average for 2 story , radiant barrier, solar screens and 3000 sq foot home. 4 years old.

Water runs me around $35 per month...that's me, wife and 13 month old son. But we have a spring water cooler as well. that runs about $30/month. Ozarka.

Time Warner Cable runs me $89/month + tax. This includes Roadrunner High Speed and Digital phone with unlimited Texas calling. 3 boxes (1 is a DVR/ Hi Def)

Trash runs $63 per quarter (Tiger Sanitation).

not sure if the OP meant how much the utilities cost or how much they cost to turn on because of the wording.. Most of those things don't have a fee for turning them on except maybe electric/gas. Cable will install for free if you get a package and you can also get your phone and internet from them. The same goes for at&t if they service that area. I personally didn't have a service charge to get the power turned on since it was already on when I moved in and I have plenty of history with other utility companies.
If the OP meant how much do they cost, for my 2700 sq. ft. two story with quite a bit more a/c use than FCF above, the water is around $45ish, I pay a straight $175/month with the bill averaged over 12 months, cable/phone/internet is $175 with two HD boxes, HD DVR, another two cable boxes, unlimited nationwide calling, and turbo RR (10 mbps). I don't have gas and my garbage is also Tiger so it's $62.45/three months.
