I wish we could to... but I wouldn't hold my breath with this system.

LOL I'm just joking. Regardless whether it rains or not, it won't rain mud here

Sneak peak a couple of weeks into future:
  • Summer is VERY near! - 90's will make a return into the area late next week and no more chilly mornings
  • Wetter pattern? - The models may be teasing us, but as of right now they've been trending wetter and wetter in our area. If all holds well, we may be able to get some regular rains in our area.

From the National Weather Service Austin San Antonio (KEWX) 3:09 PM, April 15th Discussion:
Quote:
...THE APPROACHING UPPER TROUGH IS STILL FORECAST TO MOVE OUT OF THE
SOUTHERN ROCKIES ON THURSDAY AND PUSH A FRONT THROUGH OUR AREA
THURSDAY NIGHT. MODELS SHOW CONVECTION ALONG THE FRONT AS IT
PUSHES SOUTH ACROSS OUR CWFA THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY.
PRECIPITABLE WATER VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO BE AROUND 1.5 INCHES BY
THURSDAY NIGHT. SO THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF MOISTURE IN THE
ATMOSPHERE TO FUEL CONVECTION...WITH DEWPOINT TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO BE
IN THE MID 60S ACROSS OUR EASTERN HALF BY THAT TIME. THE CHANCES
FOR PRECIPITATION IS FORECAST TO BE 50 PERCENT FOR THE I-35
CORRIDOR THURSDAY NIGHT
...
Jules, they seem to be increasingly bullish on the precipitation. I swear I haven't been dancing!!

Good news on both counts! No more jacket weather in the mornings, please.

I'm ready for summer!!

Hey Adonis, anything new? (You haven't been dancing have you? ) Weather's been weird today, hoping there's nothin' coming in yet, at least until tomorrow morning. Then it can rain buckets in SA if it wants!!

(oh, did that sound selfish? sorry...... )

The weather is weird due to the influx of moisture out ahead of the next system. IFwe get rain, our best odds will be tomorrow night/Friday morning. The timing of the system is yet again dissappointing as that's the least likely time to get a good storm going.
