Hey, I did my part - I have a freshly detailed car temptingly parked out in the open due to the giant piece of furniture that is currently being refinished in my garage. I can only do so much, people!

I'm meeeeeeeelting, meeeeeeeeeeeelting....."This heat is absolutely ridiculous and I am most definitely filing a complaint with Mother Nature first thing tomorrow. My gawd, we're only a few weeks into summer vacation and the kiddos and I are already stir-crazy and at each other's throats. We're normally not this cranky until at least the 4th of July. Arghhhhhh. I hate, hate, hate the heat!!!!! Sigh. Okay. Tension breaker, had to be done. Tantrum is now over. Carry on.

I just read your suggestion out loud to my husband. The completely horrified look on his face was classic.

Poor guy, he's not super handy, but his refinishing job has come along so nicely that I think he is going to explode from smug satisfaction.

...did you want the cold kind of heat? If so, that's November thru February. "This" kind of heat is March thru October, with a few days mixed in during the "cold kind of heat". The "cold kind of heat" however, never, never, ever mixes in during "this" kind of heat.
