This morning when I walked I saw a lot of clouds...and I was holding out some hope that we'd see a tiny bit of rain, at least. But, they booked it and by the time I got to work at 8 it was sunny and muggy.

I was at work around 10, it was raining. As I left around 12:30, I saw dark clouds looming around, hoping they would follow me home. My outcome was the same as yours, muggy, lots of sun, and of course...heat.

i was walking to a coworker's car when it started to rain. :\ looks like the deerfield area got plenty of it though - lots of puddles standing around when i went home in the late afternoon.

The closest it would get is probably Western Val Verde County. The ridge will block it from going much further east.
However, tomorrow we may sneak in another repeat performance of tropical streamer showers moving through the region.

I wish I am wrong too. I was glad I was wrong about today reaching 100 and no rain. Those streamer showers were a very pleasant and welcome surprise that "snuck under the the radar"

Absolutely astonishing rain totals in Val Verde county overnight. Doppler Radar estimates since midnight indicate over 11" of rain in some spots and rain continues to fall!
Talk about a deluge.
