Relatives driving through OK City report 102+
My neighborhood is quiet and like a ghost town right now.Walking to the mailbox in the sun and heat I felt like a food item on the buffet line with the sun as a food warming red lamp.

Posting pics like that are going to do nothing but make you more hated around these parts than me!
Actually, that forecast is a touch warmer than what I have going on for this week.

It's hot in other places. I was gratified to see that yesterday in my hometown in Central Illinois, it was 93 degrees with a "feels like" temperature of 109, with 88 percent humidity.

Anybody know how many 100 degree days we have had in June so far? And what the record for # of 100 degree days in June might be? I looked around and can't find a good site with that kind of info.

Looks like 11 100+ so far
Weather Station History : Weather Underground
scroll to the bottom for the chart of temps, etc. Most forecasts will do a 5 or 10-day outlook should give you an idea for the rest of the month...edit: wait, I just re-read...you are looking for the *record* # for 100+ days? I dunno where to find that! Dig around wunderground, might find it there.

Haha I was just teasing. We have some posters who have a fear for these temps.. and I'm afraid I may get death threats soon if it doesn't rain!

The San Antonio Int'l Airport has had 7 100+ days and 13 99+ days.
Stinson Field on the southside has had 11 100+ days and 12 99+ days.
I don't know what the record is for most 100 degree days in June. I'll see if I can find out w/o doing the number crunching myself since records go back to 1874 IIRC.
