Weather.com forecasting 106 for Wed. I'm really trying to believe that this is a NORMAL fluctuation in "Texas weather" as some of you have insisted (never mind that we keep breaking records)! Stay cool!

Oh Eeoyre, it WILL get better...promise. Radar shows some great rain just above us in a nice line at 4:41am...could be the day we see some much needed moisture!!! (I am currently in lockdown mode here at the house hoping not to get arrested...got 2 dripper hoses wrapped around my trees trying to give them a drink of water before the sun comes out and tries to burn them down again...)

This HAS been a hot, very dry summer...but remember just a few years ago the summer of 2002 and then again 2006 (I think) where ALL IT DID WAS RAIN???? It would only stop long enough to let us go and add shock to the pool to try to keep it from becoming a science project.

Here is hoping it rains today!!! (and the water police don't find me!)

weather.com seems recently to always be a little higher than the National Weather Service who as of the time of this post has 102 for Wednesday. It also seems to me looking backwards that NWS is usually closer to correct. BTW record high for Wednesday is 105 set in 1939.

7-Day Forecast for Latitude 29.46°N and Longitude 98.5°W (Elev. 741 ft)

You got that right! Keeps the temps down quite a bit.

It's only 79 out at this moment...much better than the normal 90 or so.

Hey, I watered my lawn and roses today. Maybe that will make it rain. Hoping.
