Well, the radar has lit up like a Christmas tree, so depending where you are, the odds might be good.

We have a nice little boundary hanging out just to our north which is heading southward. This is the focus for all the development this afternoon. While the storms are still somewhat scattered/spotty in nature, anyone who gets lucky enough to get some rain will get a decent soaker (~half an inch or so).

I am also looking up north across the Panhandle, North Texas, and Oklahoma for the possibility of more storms to make it down here in the overnight hours.

The good news is that it looks like this pattern of scattered storms will continue at least the next few days. Therefore, we will have repeated chances for rain!

We have the smell of rain (one of my favorites) and a little bit of water falling from the sky

Very light rain just started here in Live Oak. (So light that the dogs didn't even notice it when I let them out to play - usually they will run right back inside if there is a strong rain.)

We just had a few drops here as well, along with some intermittent rumbles of thunder. Clouds to the NE look pretty impressive.

It's lightly raining and thundering a little in 09. Unfortunately it's already getting lighter, so I think this might be it. Too bad. Guess we're just going to have to wait around for the El Nino fall rain cycle.
