Alright!! I'm sitting at DFW right now...mostly sunny. No rain in sight. 7 PM.

Good line heading our way within the next few hours!

The storm in Kerr County heading our way is definitely producing hail... so now is the time to start prepping in case the hail makes it down here.

LOL!! I was just thinking...... hmmmmmm..... 4.5 inches, that could do some MAJOR damage to roof, windows, etc. ONE claim ~ metal roof, energy efficient windows...... not too bad a hit to the CLUE report.......

KEEP DANCIN' ANTHONY!!!!! <evil giggle!!!!>

I normally don't like hyping up weather events to be dangerous... but this one truly is dangerous.

I can't guarantee that San Antonio will miss out on this line, it will be a very close call. But anywhere from I-35 on west is in serious trouble right now. There's a powerful line of storms with widespread damaging hail ranging anywhere from golf to grapefruit size.

I have been talking with storm spotters who are out in the action and reading reports coming in from the NWS. They have been consistent with radar projections. The strongest cell is in Bandera COunty heading very slowly to the SE. That means that we need to keep a very close eye on it's progress here in town.

Immediate threats are extraordinarly heavy rainfall rates and very large hail in excess of 2-3" in diameter. I recommend that you alert anyone who is going out tonight of the weather and that you secure your outdoor valuables just in case we do end up getting hit.

This kind of hail is what causes serious damage.
