feel free to thank my mom for all this wonderful rain. She's here visiting from the northeast, where it has done nothing but rain all summer long. Before she arrived here we joked how it will probably rain throughout her entire vacation. Nah, we concluded, not with the drought we've been in. Well, lo and behold...three days of raining and counting...don't you just love Murphy's Law??

thanks! It's worth the constant sweeping and mopping from the dogs. You'd think they could just go out, do their thing on the very edge of the grass, and come back in, but no.. it's always a social activity that involves going all over the yard/mud and making sure they kick up whatever it is they're trying to kick up but usually ends up being more mud.

and yes, if I'm comfortable, most of you all are scraping ice or taking pictures of the snow

BTW, it is SO nice to not remember what a dry lawn looks like. My "grass" has been constantly wet for days now

Clap of thunder here, followed about a minute later by pouring rain. Radar showing red here in North Central SA.

Well it finally rained on my side of town
The dogs must of thought I left them to drown
I'll bet it rained about an inch or two
The cats don't like it but the bullfrogs do.

does anyone know if this rain is enough to have any effect in the aquifer levels, or is that years in the making?
