That would be amazing. Maybe then my dogs could get some sleep.

Last year in Lexington, KY, while we were having major rain all summer, Lexington was in a drought. Some co-workers and I were there on the 4th, and so instead of going out to eat we thought it would be fun to bbq at a local park, then climb up to the top of UK and watch the fireworks. We got 15 minutes in to the bbq and after no rain for like 6 months, we found ourselves in the middle of a freakin' monsoon!!! That stuff was coming down sideways!

No fireworks, but the brats on the grill were quite tasty anyway! (we had Wisconsoners with us that apparently don't bbq much else)

I wouldn't mind seeing some minor flooding tomorrow. This area definitely needs it.. and some of Mother Nature's fireworks on the 4th would also be a sweet sight.

Only 20% chance? That's worse of a chance then when we had NO rain in our forcasts?!

Anthony SA: May I make a recommendation? When you create the 7 or 8 page synopsis, consider making a weather radar link on the same page. I really like your page.

Thanks Will do.

If you go to the main weather forum on City-Data (Weather Forum - Relocation, Moving, Local City Discussions - City-Data Forum), I have a sticky to the http://www.city-data.com/forum/weath...her-links.html

That page just scratches the surface of what links I have available.

Regional radar available here: http://icons.wunderground.com/data/6...dard3_anim.gif

As rain events near, I'll post more local radars.

TODAY and TONIGHT We have a cold front approaching from the north, low pressure to the west, and an upper level disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico which will combine to create scattered showers and thunderstorms in our area. Nothing too severe is expected from these storms, although small hail and brief gusty winds cannot be ruled out from a storm or two given moderate upper level dynamics and decent instability.

Track the latest weather from this regional radar:

and national satellite:

BEYOND Hot and Dry.

Should conditions warrant and I'm available, I will post weather updates as needed.
