I'll be there Thursday evening and I can't wait Waking up to 0 or somewhere around there is going to be SO much better than waking up to the 50's or 60's. It will also be nice to see precipitation falling from the sky and it'll be white, so that's a double bonus. although the forecast is calling for sunny skies almost the entire time I'll be there luckily they really suck when it comes to forecasting the weather there.

oh trust me, there will be pictures

speaking of that, never go to the rodeo without a camera. For some reason we didn't bring one and seriously regretted that. and cell phone cameras don't count, or at least the LG Rumor doesn't. I recorded the entire Billy Ray Cyrus concert on mine and when I clicked done at the end it gave me an error and didn't record jack. definitely should've brought my digital camera and Flip.

This is crazy. You know how people "dump" dogs on the side of the road? Well, someone "dumped" a horse in our pasture .

We called all the neighbors and nobody is missing a horse, checked all the fences and they are good (so he couldn't have just "wondered" in). Only thing we can figure is someone couldn't afford to feed him anymore. He was VERY poor and in desperate need of some food. We pinned him and fed him while he was here. The sheriff's dept. came and picked him up after we tried to find his owner unsuccessfully.

I've never heard of such a thing.

I don't doubt it. There's obviously a lot of irresponsible people around here. However, I heard a story today that can beat that one.. a coworker's brother and his wife adopted four kids and one of them was a baby from India that these people went all the way to India to get. Two weeks after getting back, the llady decided she didn't want the kid anymore. Hopefully that woman can never have a baby of her own and never gets any animals either.

OMG!! That is NUTS!! So what happens to the child now? I would hate to see her keep and raise a kid that she doesn't want. That is so sad.

Hopefully the kid knows nothing. How awful to be shuffled around like the Hot Potato.

*went back and read it's a baby* *good news*

Kudos to your friend and his wife for stepping up.
