Anyone ever been to Cornyval? If so, was it any fun?

It's theeeeeeeee place to see and be seen in beautiful downtown Helotes! Actually, in 23 years, I have never been, but I've heard it's fun, if you're into that type of thing. We're heading out to see Ironman this weekend, and my son is having a buddy over, so we may check it out, too.

Ok....rant on!

I'm taking an online course and my teacher is a flake! We had a project to do and it was due on March 30. We turned them in and she didn't grade them until this past weekend. She had said she would post our next project the day following the March 30 deadline for our first project. That didn't happen. Since then, she has on three separate occasions stated that she would post the assignment "next Monday" (always a different Monday)...still nothing. On Monday, I sent her an e-mail asking when she would be posting it, but I've received no response, even though in her first posting at the beginning of the course, she had said she would reply within 24 hours. By my calculations, it's been over 48!!! This teacher is driving me nuts!!!!!http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/8.gif (broken link)

Rant over...back to your regularly scheduled programs.

could be worse. my intro to object oriented programming (Java) instructor is from Poland and I can't understand a word he says. Luckily he rarely says anything, which means we pretty much haven't learned anything. My GPA is going to take a serious hit from this course, but oh well, I've pretty much given up on it. Luckily I have three more after it....

Ironman was good. I expected a little more action, but the extra humor more than made up for it. Robert Downey, Jr. was a great choice, and even Gwyneth Paltrow was good.

This is going to be a great summer for movies. Coming up next is Indiana Jones!!

I turned off the Derby when the doctor said that. It was good that it didn't suffer very long, but I don't think it's worth it to put a horse through that much just so some people can satisfy their gambling addiction... I don't think I'll ever watch it again.

Yeah, it was bad enough with Barbosa. They are such majestic animals!

The Budweiser horses just amaze me!
