If there was a safe way for me to walk to work, I would. It's only 5 1/2 miles each way and I could do it, but there aren't sidewalks the whole way and I'd get smushed for sure. I was going to buy a scooter ( had it all picked out, too ) but it's just not worth it with the short commute I have. If worse comes to worse I can walk to HEB at least. The sad thing is there is not much entertainment-wise within walking distance. But since we spend so much on TW I guess we should be able to find something on TV to watch.

Never been to UIW. I go to SAC and am doing summer research at UTSA for the 2nd summer in a row. I'm also taking a summer night class at SAC.
