I DID NOT LAY THE SMACK DOWN! I simply responded.

I don't go looking for trouble. Three times today trouble found me.

So, with that, I'm out for the night. I'm worn out.

Bouncin' out.....

G'night. Don't let ankle-biters (I mean bedbugs) bite.

speaking of bounce.. Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins is a pretty freaking funny movie. I'm currently watching Be Kind Rewind and it's funny as long as you can handle seriously stupid humor. Even the coworkers that want to hate it are laughing at some of the scenes..

Whoa!!!! What the heck???? Where did that come from?

I was pointing out the fact that many people don't realize they can do a lot of that stuff, because they're never exposed to it. At the same time, People tend to make the assumption that you can only do those things if it's handed to you on a silver platter. That's not always true. You don't need to join the military to travel, nor do you need to be upper middle class with parents who travel. That was my point. Education is the same thing.

In fact, most of my expat and grad school friends were not born into it. Somewhere along the way they jumped on an opportunity and ran with it.

I'm sorry you misinterpreted my intention.

One day I hope to somehow go to Antarctica and I would love to see the Galapagos from the surface instead of through a periscope, but.. not many people can say that one either..
I only counted it as .5 I never know how to classify it.

DH almost went to Antarctica last year for work, but it got cancelled....I've never been to the Galapagos, would love to see them. My mom, who never left the country until she was 70 yrs old, has now been to Thailand, Greece, Spain, Switzerland, Peru, Bali, and is about to go to Alaska (not quite out of the country but an adventure nonetheless). I'm so impressed!

btw - I hope you understood my point....when I was 17 and wanted to use some prize money to go to Europe my dad said "Go now, it's once in a lifetime and you won't likely go again." That was his frame of reference. He never left the country and never considered doing so. It just wasn't something he thought was even possible. That I'd eventually live in Europe was just not something he could fathom.

smooch! I'd like to kiss and make up, alright? I went to buy a pool for the kids and couldn't find anything that wasn't too big or too small. I finally settled for one at nerdmart, but it was freaking 30$. Blowing it up was kind of fun until one of my kids said "Why don't we try the air matress pump?" The best part was sitting under the shade of a tree while reading a book and getting splashed on ocasionaly. Don't you just love summer?
