I use 'hood.. and I live close to what some would term the ghetto. Not all of us would live in Stone Oak or some ultra homogenized gated community even if we won the lottery. I'd much rather live in an interesting, diverse area with people from all walks of life.

It's not ghetto-dangerous, but it IS ghetto-poor. No shame in that. IMO the only ones in a poor 'hood who have any need to be ashamed are the ones gettin' by in the shameful ways... i.e. flat on your back, or selling/stealing/etc.

I can't stand the use of the word gay to mean something derogatory/stupid, but whatever... I don't say it and my kids don't say it but it doesn't mean others have to abide by that.

I usually borrow most of my sayings from South Park or Family Guy and that's probably not always a good thing, but still usually pretty funny. Then again, I only hang around people that have pretty thick skin and don't get offended easily.. The PC nazi's would die in my office because it's pretty hardcore; definitely not for the easily offended.
