I was wanting that Lighthouse Inn, but it's booked up
I'll call them tomorrow and see if there's a late cancellation. Most of the other hotels are kinda overpriced for their amenities (usually lack of amenities), but this is peak season.

Did you try this one?
Beautiful waterfront Fulton, Texas Inn
It's in Fulton, but that's not far at all from where you're already looking. I've never stayed here, but the pix look nice.

My kittens run amok when I leave my laptop open and they walk on the keyboard. They think IMing is da bomb! And they like their 4 sides brick kitty litter box.

my first day of discrete mathematics and he's trying to calm us all down. I've been dreading this class for over a year and when I got the almost 5 pound book in the mail it actually became worse, especially after I looked through it..

another candidate for mother of the year.. Hungry 6-Year-Old Found Wandering Streets | WOAI.COM: San Antonio News
only good thing about this is protection from double jeopardy does not apply to the military.. and she definitely deserves all the punishment she can get
speaking of mothers of the year. I was checking out Maury today and they had a woman on there that was on her 33rd and 34 paternity tests. Four kids and that many candidates for the father? the pathetic part was neither of them were the father.. even more pathetic part was one of the guys said he was only with her once and just because she was famous from Maury. you go girl, we're all SO proud of you..

You would not recognize the place now. I was just there a few weeks ago and my friend insisted we drive there. It has all been cleaned up and made "family friendly." Very nice!
When we lived in Virginia Beach, we rarely went to the tourist areas. We'd go to Dam Neck (the Navy Beach) and it was always nice.

I liked Ft. Story and can't imagine VB not being a ghetto looking tourist trap. I bet they still have the insanely high prepared food tax though. I remember the first time I went to a McDonalds there and after the employee gave me the total I said I just wanted one, not two. It took a while to figure out where that extra 24% or something like that was coming from. Insanely high

I couldn't believe it either! It looked really nice!
The tax isn't THAT high in Virginia Beach! I just looked it up and the "prepared food tax" is 10.5% which includes the usual 5% state sales tax. Isn't everything in San Antonio taxed at over 8%?
