Hello guys,
For the people that don't know here's my info
Born in Venezuela, speak spanish, lived in Missouri for 15 years, have a wife and 2 little kids, would love to live in San Antonio because is very hispanic and close to Mexico where I could take my family for vacations to learn/practice spanish.
Besides the fact that I hate cold weather and I love going to the beach.
I was wondering is there's any electrical engineers or engineers here that can tell me a little about the market in San Antonio for electrical engineers.

I can tell you it's really freaking hot here in the summer, but I don't know anything about the electrical engineer market.

Two of my friends have EE degrees, one works for Southwest Research Institute, the other works for Motorola (or whatever it is known as now...think it was bought out?) in Seguin. Both of them get paid quite well, as far as I can tell.

I am not a developer/programmer but I do a lot of websites for my clients and have to hire developers/programmers all the time. Virtually to a person, they all say Drupal is way better than Joomla - same benefits of open source (lots of apps/modules, always growing) but more stable, easier to work with and better supported. I do a lot of work with a local firm called IdeaGin and they'd be happy to give you an opinion on Drupal capabilities (including its CMS). They've also built a new product that is a Drupal user interface that stacks on top of Rackspace/Mosso that essentially allows end users to manage their own websites... including email marketing, calendaring, file sharing, blogging, standard content management functions, e-commerce, event management/registrations, etc. DM me for a contact person... they'd be happy to give you their opinions of Joomla vs. Drupal.

Thanks for the info! I'll look into it. At this point it's just a matter of deciding whether or not to switch software...

First off, if this violates any rules, feel free to delete it.
OK... So I bought some pocket knives at the Scharfen Cutlery store in Northstar Mall. This is the knife store that sells lots of knives, but also exotic swords and the like. I recently bought a knife for my dad as a birthday gift but later that day decided on buying him something else.
Long story short, they don't take returns! They only do in-store credit, which is really annoying for me as a customer. I know I should have read and asked, but I'm so used to having my money returned if I need to that I didn't bother to ask. I don't ask a million questions on the store's policies when I buy every single thing.
So now, I'm stuck with a $120 receipt. I'm willing to even sell $120 worth of in-store credit for $100, but I don't know who would want to buy it. Does anyone know any regular shoppers who'd have a need for $20 free ones? I don't think I can post this on eBay because it's a local store. I've posted on Craigslist but no response yet.
Again, I hope this doesn't come off as a "for sale" post only. I'm left without options. It's not like it's a bad store because I think the rep who helped me gave me so much information that I was definitely looking forward to be a future customer. It was their short-term profit policy that made me think twice about ever buying there again. I mean, I tried returning it the same day and they still refused to take it back.
I'm open for some input. This is the store btw.

I saw on TV once that people can swap coupons. I googled coupons swap and came up with a few sights. I have no experience. Here is one
ThriftyFun.com - Coupon Swap
You could also go to the classified section of city-data or craigslist and offer to sale your credit
good luck

Hmmm, I don't know. You seem to be "slamming" this company and they did nothing wrong. This is common w/ a lot of speciality stores. I'm sorry you did not read the return policy before you made your purchase. I *always* ask before I spend a larger sun of money.
This is not "injustice" to me. I wouldn't mind seeing this post removed.
