freaking brilliant if you ask me

ahhhh, you could have a point, however, that seems to assume that all the Hilary votes are merely mindless votes for a female, any female....

I know you don't believe or think that about females in general.....

I do have to admit, though, that it is going to draw a lot of attention and consideration, if nothing else....

I guess what stood out so prominently to me though, was what seemed to be inexperience....

meh, we'll see how it falls....
I'll be trying to 'read up on' her, that's for sure....

Well, most of us have only known her for a couple hours now and hopefully we'll know more about her in the future. She has done wonderful things for Alaska and is a nice contraction to McCains non-desire to drill in ANWR. Myself and some of my coworkers have been looking at her for a while mostly because she literally caught our eye. She is definitely easy on the eyes and seems to be interested in "guy things" such as hunting, fishing, and shooting. I don't know how many women know this, but most guys are seriously attracted to a woman that can enjoy the same things they do. It's like having a guy friend with extra benefits

anyhow.. I'm sure plenty will come out about her, but I think she's a good choice and not because she is a woman. She stands for many things that I agree with and actually more things than McCain does.

BTW, I was checking out the politics/election section and remembered why I left it. It's like a bunch of loud mouthed two year olds down there. Every one of them trying to whine louder so everyone will listen to them. I suppose a civil conversation up here would probably be better.

all three are super freaks, but I'm a big Prince fan. I like old Michael stuff and ummm, wouldn't mind seeing madonna never make it to 51. She wishes she was half as talented as she thinks she is and will always be Michigan white trash to me. I'm from there, so I think I can say that. They're the people that give us good Michiganders a bad name. mikey moore is another example and just happens to be from the same general area (Flint area) as madonna.

anybody else notice that oil dropped about $3 from its high on the Nymex (NYMEX.com) today? and it started around the same time McCain picked his VP. Coincidence?

wow, interesting.....
so, do you think it is a manufactured, or created shift? sounds a little 'fishy' to me....

I dunno, I don't see any particular 'brillance' in choosing this woman. I have no opinion about the woman herself yet, but I did read an article that said she 'dissed' the notion of a vice presidency during conversation some time back.... She asked the interviewer what the vice president does..... etc etc etc.... try yahoo.com, there are a few articles about her, this is an AP article dated today... the interview being quoted was 'about a month ago'.

I'm really concerned, quite frankly. I wouldn't mind so much HAVING her as VP..... the problem is, I don't think they can win. I do think McCain would have a chance, had he made a different VP choice, AND, I could be wrong about this. I hope I am.

I just don't want four or eight years of Obalogna. I am real uncomfortable with this shift, and I think the surprise element is only harmful.
Hoping I'm wrong.... hoping only for the very very best for this country and us.

I'm pretty certain you're wrong. My wife and daughter can't stand politics, but the idea of a woman intrigues them. As far as nobama, they're beyond sick of hearing about him and you'd think the media that is so in love with him would figure it out. Any sighting causes instant channel change, so no revenue.

Oh, yes, I applaud McCain for choosing a woman!! I am thrilled about it; I have a minor in Womens' Studies... that should tell you something about how I feel about women in political office....
I just think that his timing, the suspense he built up about it and the inexperience of this woman is more harmful than good.

Condoleeza Rice... I'd be doing backflips and leading a cheering squad; and perhaps I will feel that way about this specific person as time goes on. And remember, I'm just as concerned, if not MORE so, about the general population's reaction to her, as I am about my own sense of her.
If she can't help get a win, she's a deficit, no matter WHY she can't get the win. And I don't foresee the public warming up to this ticket.

If I'm wrong, I will GLADLY deliver a Rudy's Worst BBQ Dinner Bucket to you and your family on the day she and John McC are elected.

Mmmm Rudy's.. I'll be counting down the days until your delivery

She is attracting conservative interest which is something McCain could not do. Think of it as more of a balancing act than anything else. Plus she is a rising star, which means she has some serious backing. I'm a firm believer that the candidate is more of a puppet than an actual leader. So no worries on how much experience they have and worry more about who is supporting them. That's also what scares the fudge out of me with nobama.. he has a lot of communist/Marxist/socialist supporters and I never want to see those fools get a hold of power in the US. I enjoy living in a country where I can do better than the lazy crackhead down the road. We all make decisions and we all pay prices for those decisions. Just like the people that choose to live on the Gulf Coast, especially in a city that isn't supposed to be above water in the first place..
