Hahaha - that's what I love about that commercial, besides the music, is that he is so out there! All into his song, walking through people's lives. Floating outside skyscrapers, just singing along....OOOOOOOOOOO

My son is not free from Phlegm today...and of course I have to fly later. I wished my wife good luck.

Has anyone seen Zack and Miri Make a Porno? I know the title is a bit over the top, but it's from Kevin Smith, so it almost has to be good.

Awww, poor little guy. It's bad enough to be a grown-up with it, but being a baby with that mess must just be awful. He's at your wife's mercy with the Kleenex.

And BTW, I know the proper spelling of phlegm, but I'm all about the alliteration.

Definitely a once-in-a-neighborhood event for the eight or so 13-15 yr old boys, though! Please call me if you have any water balloon damage, or flour bombs caking your driveways. Eggs and TP were strictly forbidden, so hopefully there's none of that anywhere! And should you see any of them wandering the neighborhood today, you'll recognize them immediately by the red glitter hair spray and sharpie-painted faces!

What a joy to have boys that enjoy the time-honored rituals of being boys and pranking each other and being allowed to just be boys. Yes, there were video games, too...but not until all the cool whip and water balloons had been used up!

And yes, I let them sleep inside....the garage![/QUOTE]

omg....this reminds me of a mini blast created by just my dau and ONE friend she had stay over in elementary school. Son and dau had a bathroom joining their two rooms. The girls were in there supposedly getting jammies on and brushing teeth .....but they were having way too much fun and spending WAY too much time. I finally opened the door and visibility in the room was ZERO! I reached around until I pulled out two little girls who looked like powdered donuts! They had taken the LARGE economy sized box of baby powder and not only created a fog bank, but pulled the stopper in the sink, dumped powder in it and created powdered PASTE and smeared it all over the mirrors, shower doors, and NAVY BLUE wallpaper we had just put up! There was so much powder everywhere that they were skating and spinning on the floor in the dust! OMG...... My first concern was if they were ALIVE and OK from inhaling that powder!!!! Then I couldn't even imagine how to begin cleaning it all up! It was like the aftermath of a nuclear storm. I just closed up the bath room put towels under the door to keep the "fallout" from filtering into the rest of the house....which was unsuccessful..... Then took my little powdered up girls and hosed them off outside! I wanted to spanks their butts but I was just glad they were breathing!!! I think I was dusting up baby powder until we moved out of that house! Girls can be just as fun and those mischievous little boys....

Cute story, WCat! There are certain days when I wish I'd had a girl, but then when I can spend $100 at Old Navy on my son's ENTIRE wardrobe and he's pleased as punch, I'm grateful for the boy! I have another year or two of that, then I'm sure he'll move up to wanting brand names, but still much easier and cheaper to please than I would imagine a girl would be. Not to mention the money saved on makeup!

Sheesh, it's freakin' February already. Unreal.

Countdown to California......4 days till I'm in my favorite coastal town.

Morro Bay, here I come!

Having experienced each gender I can see what you mean about the trade offs.
I still sort of gag at the smell of baby powder.....
