Thinking of installing Solar for your home? - 2018 Solar cost, savings and break even point - thread for San Antonio Bexar County

I am highly interested in Solar power for multiple reasons (it protects the environment, it will pay for itself and over the life of the system, even make you money every month from CPS paying you for energy you generate for them), so I have been keeping different spreadsheets with different information tracking solar. Over time, solar panels are becoming more efficient and the cost to install is coming down. For many, that "sweet spot" is already reached. What is your "sweet spot" for a solar system?

I figured I would share this information for anyone who is considering a solar power system for their home.

Here is the information I have gathered over multiple spreadsheets, copied and pasted here for your benefit (hopefully the format works from spreadsheet to pasting it here) - Edit - upon "preview" it looks like it does not, it took an insane amount of time gathering all this info, now its going to take a lot of time to format it for this thread/forum for easier readability. Perhaps Ill just take a screen shot and link pictures:

I looked in to Solar about a year ago, and found it really does not make financial sense. I was looking at a 12-15 year break even point, and that's assuming the system needs no maintenance/repair, or the roof needs no work required the panels to be removed.

Even worse financially is the ability to buy a 'part' of a company with their own solar farm.
