My husband and I were looking too, and we like la panaderia La Popular on Culebra just east of 1604 about a mile or so. It's in a little plaza on the north side of the road. We are use to good Mexican "pan dulce" , being from D.F., and they are pretty good!

Does anyone know where there are any Puerto Rican style panaderias? Pan Sobao, Pad de Agua, Quesitos, Mariposas, and so on?

I love panaderias and fruterias (where they sale the fruit cups, nachos, and aguas frescas etc)!

I wish there were some near San Antonio College...there used to be one fruteria we used to go to on McCullough and Myrtle! It was a tradition about 5 years ago when my nieces and nephews would get out of school since my sister lived in the area.
