I have to do this! Back in 1978 I put on the first and only Western Day for MDA, our group and Ancira brought in a Playboy Playmate. Her name was Hope Olson. She was Miss Oct, 1976. She had a birthday yesterday. She turned 52! (I'm older)

This is her head shot, as they say in the media.

Here is gy2020 with Ms. Olson.

Here is Ms. Olson, Doug Van Buren (my real estate broker, I was a broker agent in his office), and an MDA Rep., representing Jerry Lewis and MDA

Those are some Hot sweat socks in that last picture from the 70's gy2020...
Definitely very authentic 70's pictures and it does bring back good memories, except for the sweat socks up to the knees.. that was always such a pain and they always stretched out way too fast. Probably explains why the next trend was droopy sweat socks.. That Playboy model was also very easy on the eyes..

That city is really nice and a good sign of what can happen when people get over their hard headedness and work together. There are still quite a few parts of the city that definitely have scars, but the majority of it has seen the light of the $ and are happily making money off tourists.
BTW, I'm standing on the balcony of a mosque in that picture with my shoes on. Even they saw the value of the $...

here's a perfect example of what is left from the war next to what is quickly taking over.

These were all from October of 2005. It should be really nice looking there now.

This is what Mostar looked like in 1998 when MajorMadMax and I were there. It really has come a long way!

You know, when I got him, I was told he was a German Shephard. His parents looked like your typical black and tan, low back GS, and he looked just like the rest of the litter....but as he got older...something didn't quite sit well with me. But now that you said that...I googled it and he looks exactly like the AKC's description of a belgian malinois. I'm starting to wonder if the breeder pulled the wool over my eyes or if he just didn't know. I love him nonetheless! Thanks!

Wonder if that is from this location? They look pretty similar.. This is a block or two off the main road that runs through Mostar. I can't remember it's name, but it's the road you turn right on from the highway that leads from Sarajevo to Mostar. This whole section looked like it was next on the list for areas to clean up and I'm guessing there probably wasn't a lot of shorts wearing tourists when you two were there?

I SWEAR I started a similar thread a while back and got like two responses...am I going nuts? Okay, so don't punch me in the kisser if you see me out-and-about, puh-lease! Great though being able to put faces to names/opinions, etc., etc., etc.

...okay, 2008 (with the lil' missus before seeing Tony Bennett, great show BTW):

Here's my pic after hours of riding in DH's convertible and touring part of the state this weekend seeing the beautiful scenery, especially the bluebonnets!! Love them. BTW, my screen name is: from KY and I'm a girl "filly"....Kentucky IS horse country! And, here's one also from DH's convertible...perhaps you'll see us cruising around town. This is our first full week living in S.A. and so far, so good!
