...trying to figure out the way these people are thinking. Projects take years to complete, contract modifications happen all the freakin' time. Why not let the project take a little longer, spend a little extra money, and get it done right! Okay maybe an overpass is too expensive, but seriously have someone with half a brain out there to synchronize the traffic lights. Why not finish cleaning up the U-turn lanes and open them? All this "upgrade" did was create more traffic problems on Potranco and Marbach. They took out all the turn-arounds for all those people that live in the neighborhoods in between 151 and 90, so now you HAVE to go to the next major street to turn around. Does this make any sense to anyone? Why can't I have a turn-around in front of my subdivision entrance? There was one there, now it's gone! I went to get gas 1 mile down the road and came straight back, and the whole trip was 6 1/2 miles by the time I got back home and took 20 minutes!!! The best part about this is I don't see them fixing any of it, or even pretending to fix any of it. It probably cost more to tear down our U-turns than it would have to just put a little blacktop on it and call it good. The contractors are in the business of putting band-aids on things anyway to save a buck where they can, none of them live out there, what do they care?!?!

I think someone is playing with the traffic lights in this newly-opened stretch of Loop 1604. It took me 10 minutes to go 1 mile out of Westcreek on Military Drive West this morning. I found out that the left turn signal (onto north Loop 1604) is set at about 10 seconds...that's it. They need to work on the signal timing for sure!
