I used to go to Dr Och's as well, and he was really good. Stopped going because I couldn't afford the medication, but if I wanted to start up again he's who I would go to.

Beware of Dr. Terri Nutt at Dermatology Associates of San Antonio... My partner went to see her about a month ago and it was a horrible experience for him. She rushed him in and out, misdiagnosed and made it as business-like as possible.

Thank you for the information on Dr. Nutt. A co-worker of mine was treated by her several times due to skin cancer. I was considering an appt with her but now I am having doubts.
If any of you ever need to see a Skin Cancer Surgeon I highly suggest Dr. Ryan O'Quinn, South TX. Skin Cancer Center, # 558-6234. I was sent to him because of his specialization in MOHS Surgery. This is the way to go after you have been diagnosed with Skin Cancer. If all goes right he will have all the cancer removed in several hours. You may have to have several margins taken but it is well worth the procedure. Dr. O'Quinn has operated on me twice for two basal cell carcinoma's. The last one (2007) required Plastic Surgery. Dr. O'Quinn sent me to Dr. David Fisher. Again a fantastic Doctor. Dr. O'Quinn usually does not see patients for check ups, etc. He has a Physician Asst. . I can't think of her name at this time but she is also great.
I once had a Dr. who would schedule surgeries which included biopsy's on Tuesday's. That usually meant two appts. I love a skin Dr. who will remove anything suspicious at the time of your visit.
Has anyone ever been seen by Dr. Calvin Day?. He too is a MOHS Surgeon but he'll see you for routine visits. I have never seen him but I've heard it takes a good while to schedule an appt. That in itself says alot.

I bought pro-activ for my daughter a couple of months ago. It didn't work nearly as well as they claim. She canceled the order (it is one of those things that you have to cancel or they keep sending it every month and charging your credit card). Last week I got another supply of the vitamins (apparently that is a different cancelation ). Anyhow.... I told her to take those vitamins because they are very expensive (I didn't say it that nicely though ), she has been taking them for about 10 days now and her skin has improved dramatically.
Just wanted to let yall know in case you have a teenager with acne. Those vitamins work (at least for my daughter).

We go see Dr Lisa Walker in Stone Oak. When (not if) you go to see a dermatologist make sure they ask you to remove your shirt and they check out everything. Don't see someone who asks you what you think your problems are... they're supposed to know what to look for and be proactive.

I'll be visiting with Dr. Scott Henslee this Tuesday. This will be my first visit with him and actually I'm looking forward to it. This is due to all the good words I've heard about him.
It's kind of odd to hear this from someone who has had Two Skin Cancer surgeries and Three Surgeries with a Plastic Surgeon.
I'll let you know how my visit with him goes.
As you all know every year Skin Cancer Cases are increasing. Please Wear Sunscreen Daily especially your Children.

I see Dr. John Gonzalez. He did biopsies on my first visit to see him...within 10 minutes he was cutting into me but he found some troubling moles that I have since had removed. He's great!

I just returned from seeing Dr.Scott Henslee and I have to say he listened to my concerns and did a complete body exam. This was my first visit with him. He found one pre cancer on the side of my nose that was frozen. I was so glad he didnt find anything else due to my history. I will certainally go back in 5-6 months as he asked.
