True art-house cinemas do QUITE well and don't need to show the usual fare to keep the money coming in. Angelika, Magnolia, ArcLight and smaller theaters all do well without having to cater to the mainstream clientele, offering fantastic films, as well as after-movie Q&A's with the creative teams behind them.

Why do you let it bother you? Don't go and see it if you don't want and let the theater survive as best as it can.
San Antonio is not other cities, is it? It doesn't help that the Bijou is located in Crossroads mall, a mall where half the shops have closed up and the mall is slowly dying.
