Are there any great Improv clubs around? We used to go to one in high school called Oxymoron's. It was byob/food (we weren't old enough to drink.) I remember toting in Subway and thinking I was waaaay cool
Anyway, just looking for something fun and different to do on a weekend. Thanks in advance!

Rivercenter Comedy Club has an Oxymoron's Improv Troupe on Tuesday nights--could that be the same?

Sweeeet- Oxymoron's is still around. The Oxymorons Improv Comedy Troupe - San Antonio, Texas

*sigh* should have used google [i]first![i]
Has anyone been recently? From what I remember, it was a very talented and hilarious group! (However, this was 11 yrs ago...)

Okay, I just glanced at the web site. They used to have a permanent location near Main St. (I think.) Looks like they're looking for a new home. I would like to find someplace other than downtown/river center mall if at all possible. And a show on the weekend is always good

There will be a new comedy club opening up as a major tenant in the mall that is replacing Central Park Mall... maybe Park North, if I recall correctly? The club will be owned/operated by the same folks that run the Rivercenter location. I don't know when it's scheduled to open, but I'm sure some of those development pros on this board have that info at their fingertips.

If you don't mind getting out and trying some new venues...try the Hide Out Theatre in Austin.
