Default Allergy lists

When they do these lists, they figure it by how many allergist there are in the area and how many allergy medication prescriptions are filled. They do count pollen counts too, but read the methods and requirements before getting too excited. There could be a lot of people suffering without medical care. So the affluence of medical care askew these lists.

I have HORRIBLE allergies and have taken shots for over 20 years. For me, the worst place is the desert areas. Those are the things I'm most reactive to. They are really aggressive pollens in the fact that they linger for a long time and are oily and spiny. Mold has never been a problem for me and I have lived in TN, GA, FL and TX with allergies but nothing that compares to NM.

Find out what YOU are the most allergic to. This is probably more of study of reduction than elimination.
Achoo!

According a study conducted for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America in the article below, SA is the 18th worst place in the country for fall allergies.

San Antonio listed as one of worst cities for fall allergies - San Antonio Business Journal:

I don't know if it's coincidental or what, but I didn't move to SA until I was 13 or 14. I never had any allergy problems before. Same with my mom. We are both sufferers since living in SA, and my kids as well.

The worst thing is this time of year. Every year, without fail, the kids go to school for one week and week 2, their allergies kick in and they end up missing school. I wish they could just start at the end of September! They all three missed a day this week and the eldest was hit hardest and missed 2, including a field trip to the Witte that he was really looking forward to, and he'll most likely miss his Art Club's outing to First Friday tomorrow also, due to the sniffling/sneezing/watery eyes mess.
