Great pics, as always! I am waiting for a little better weather to arrive...slightly warmer and definitely more dryer...before I hit the trails. I've been getting in better shape so I don't embarass myself, and I've renewed my annual family state parks membership so I can start easy in the Government Canyon Front Country with my son. Schnabel is not too far away from us and I want to see how things have changed there as well, it's been a few years since I've been on the trails there.

Keep the pics and videos coming!

Cheers! M2

Sounds like you have a great plan. Keep in mind that with the new 10ft wide pathway that connects up with OP you can ride from Bandera all the way to Babcock without worry of wet trails. I was amazed at the number of people using this trail yesterday!!

I am gonna see if my 12-yr-old wants to go out Sunday morning. He has a nice Specialized mountain bike but he hasn't ridden it for a while and I think we'd both benefit from some saddle time! We'll either hit OP Schnabel or the GC Front Country to start off easy.

Also, I will have to find what gear I have that still fits, I've added a few pounds since I was riding regularly and some of my old togs might not fit as well anymore...

It is kinda odd that I haven't ridden in so long as I love mountain biking. I think our three years in Belgium ruined me, as there I enjoyed numerous routes to and from work. It is a great sport not only for exercise but also for sightseeing, and I need to get off my fat butt and get on my fat tires!

Cheers! M2

I may have posted these before, but here are some de-evolutionary pictures of a few of my mountain bikes over the years...

HCSNA back in 2002...

Germany circa 1996-7...

And the UK back around 1984-5...

Damn, I look at those pics and wonder what happened to that skinny guy!

Cheers! M2
