Gotcha. I guess people took the hint. I'll probably try to score some tickets to a second round game if any of them fall on a weekend.

Can you redo him with Spurs jerseys in his flippers? Let's see just how much talent you really have.

2003- Claudette
2005- Rita
2007- Humberto
2008???????
If we win it again this year, you better brace yourselves!!! (I think this gives a whole new meaning to "Rock you like a Hurricane"...)
Just another piece of useless trivia....
your welcome...

But I feel ownership.... does anyone else feel 'ownership'?
I didn't for the Lakers when I lived in SoCal and Magic and Kareem were keeping them hot..... probably because these guys (the Spurs) are all so local and and so present among us.... Magic and Kareem were distant and untouchable.... I'm not sure they even lived in LA durin off-season....
People are always running into these guys, the Spurs, in stores and places.... well, except me... but that's probably God watching out for me because I'd probably stand there with my mouth open and pee my pants or something.....
LOLOLOL.... okay too much coffee for me tonite, can you tell? ......

I think that's what makes the Spurs so special - they really are "our" boys
Same as you, I never felt connected to the Lakers in all my years in LA, nor any other pro-team in any cities I've lived (tho I have felt that way about some European soccer players). The Spurs are different and San Antonio is different - this is where that 'small town' atmosphere comes in. They are local (interestingly, as one of the most international teams, they all feel like hometown heroes). And they all seem like guys you want to have around, like for a BBQ. I really don't know who's my favourite, they all are.
I became addicted soon after moving here and was screaming at the games more than anyone (I even got a round of Go Spurs Go going in my section which was overrun with Mavs fans chanting for the Mavs during a playoff game that year- I stood up in the middle of Mavs fans chanting Spurs, and soon everyone followed. I'm so proud ) My DH hadn't even thought twice about basketball (being European and all), then he met me during the 2003 playoffs and by the Finals was screaming like the rest of us. It's so easy to love these guys.
so glad Brent is back, making me laugh.
