No, you won't find me saying much that's positive about Kobe. I don't like his ego, and I don't like the fact that he doesn't share the ball much, he pretends to be hurt whenever they are losing, he's a spoiled brat, I could go on, but nah.........
I will say, it was very hard to hate him back in the day....I mean, I did hate him and everybody here loved to hate him (Spurs fans, anyway). Then the Express News ran a story about him--I googled to try and find it but couldn't--anyway, the story was he was eating on the Riverwalk during the playoffs--a kid with cancer who was out that night for his prom (and only that night--he was pretty sick)--anyway, he was a Kobe fan, Kobe was gracious enough to give him some attention, and also went and visited him in the hospital and brought him his game shoes or jersey. Anyway, I am like 99.9% sure that's the story, and I got a little misty-eyed, and developed a teeny-tiny bit of admiration for him.
But that was then, this is now.

And was this before or after the humongous check he wrote to the woman that he DIDN'T rape?
