Wow, what a horrible tragedy--and the Mom had to witness it. The bus driver must feel awful. I hope and pray this little girl pulls through.

I hope this little girl is ok! I greet the buses every morning at my school and I worry every single morning.

Yes, it is a horrible tragedy.
I just read the link and I saw where the Mom witnessed it, but I could have sworn I heard on the news today that folks had to go and wake up the parents to tell them what had happened.

On the news there was another witness who saw the girl running and started running behind the girl to try to get the bus to stop but it was too late.

When I heard that, I was concerned that such a small child was late to the bus and at the bus by herself while her parents slept. I hope the link is more accurate than what I heard on the news.

I heard that too, that the mom was not there.
If she was though, I question why a parent would let their child run after a bus to catch it.

My boss had to go give the police a witness statement yesterday, he thought she was going to die. Hopefully the little girl will pull through.

I can't imagine what a bus stop on a LP410 access road must be like.

Maybe they meant this school year, not calendar year?

I hope this little girl pulls through. The news said last night she will turn 7 in 3 days.

This story is heartwrenching and every mother's worst nightmare. I pray that this little girl makes a full recovery.

That is so sad. I hope she is okay. Am I reading the article correctly? It said she was running after her brother. Wouldn't the brother have told the bus driver that his sister was coming? Or, wouldn't the bus driver ask him where his sister was, if she did not get on the bus with him?

That is so horrible, the buses are allways running late and rushing to keep their times. I hope some school Districts look for ways to improve their process maybe to reduce drivers inattention. Very sad to read this story the girl was so small, hope she pulls through.
