me and my family are planning to relocate from south carolina to the san antonio area. we are willing to live about an hour away from the tindall plant in san antonio. not really sure what is considered cheap out there but we need it to be fairly cheap 3-4 bedrooms would prefer 4 bedrooms but can do with 3 bedrooms but it has to have at least 2 bathrooms. if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

A budget would be helpful. Southeast off San Antonio is kind of out in the middle of nowhere so it’s a bit less expensive then say, northwest of SA.

Yeah, without a budget and more info it's hard to give you any hints. House? Condo? Apartment? Kids? Schools? Where you will be working? Tindall Plant?
You want to be in a small town? Why so far from your work? An hour away from work = 2 hrs of your life wasted in traffic.

The problem in that area is that it is also part of the extensive Eagle Ford shale oil exploration and drilling. Add that it is relatively sparsely populated and developed there just isn’t much in the way of housing in the area and a lot of competition. I haven’t been down that way lately but I’ve heard because of the housing shortage a lot trailer and motor home parks have sprung up in the area.

I live in 78245 and you can probably find a house that fits your requirements in this area more easily than looking south of San Antonio in the areas where the oil workers live.
