Two days ago (Jan 18) I received a summons for jury duty for Bexar County (report to downtown courthouse). I am scheduled to report on Monday, Feb 3.

However my husband and I will be out of state on vacation starting Feb 1 and returning home late Feb 4. What is the process in Bexar County to reassign jury duty report date due to travel?

We have lived in SA since June 2018. This is our first summons for jury duty since moving to this county.

Thanks,
Kelly

There should be a number on the summons to call. You can request a postponement of your service, since you are already scheduled to be out of town on that date. You will be given a new date to report.

You can also go in person to the court house -- I believe the jury room is downstairs if I'm not mistaken. There's a double door and you go through and there's a desk to the right just inside. I went one morning and there was one person ahead of me and I was in and out in about 2 mins. You give them your reason and they may ask you for more information then they say you're excused and that's that.
