My visit was great! Funny thing, though, I got homesick...for San Diego! I can't win...either I'm homesick for SA or SD. Sheesh!

Juneof48 refers to the infamous "June Insurrection" of 1848, in Paris, as immortalized in Marx's "The 18th Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte." It was a failed workers' uprising, and it always reminds me of the indomitable human drive for liberation, even when circumstances don't permit success.
(Yes, I'm on the left side of the spectrum, and I feel totally at home in San Antonio.)
