We have one in FL which has stood up to quite a few hurricanes. We are planning on getting another one for our new home in Boerne.

Yep! We love it!
We bought ours when my kids were 2 & 3. I now have one almost 9, one that's 7, and an almost 5. They still play on it all the time. We have the one with the green canopy. I wouldn't suggest the green slide though, because it will absorb the heat in the summer. Our slide is yellow. We have had tons of kids on it at a time, and adults, no problem. I even bought the hammock swing for me. . . hmmm, I should find that and make use of it again! We have never had a splinter problem. If there were one, trust me my kids would have had it! We have used the warranty. . . lifetime guarantee on the wood -- when we moved here from the Houston area (yes, we took it apart and brought it here -- I wasn't about to leave it!), there were a few pieces that had begun to deteriorate where they were touching the ground (think it had to do with the mulch surface we had under it) and those were all replaced no problem. I am not sure how much you will be able to negotiate the price, but I say go for it -- worst thing that can happen is they say no. You can definitely pick and choose -- we looked at the models and the catalogs forever and then basically put together what we wanted. Don't think that you have to choose only from the exact systems pictured. You can add/remove within the systems. We have the castle-style, with a 4-swing beam, tire swing, rope swing, rope ladder, chain ladder, monkey bars (husband insisted), 1 baby swing, 2 sling swings, 1 partner swing, trapeze, telescope, ships' wheel, buoy ball, cozy rails and a partridge in a pear tree! If your children are small and you go with the castle, consider the cozy rails (closes up the castle a bit and gives you less of a heart attack when they are toddling around up there). When we ordered we choose the colors of each item specifically (green canopy and flags, brighter colored swings & slides). We got some of the stuff for free -- the sales guy "threw it in" to be nice I guess -- the buoy ball and the ships' wheel I think. I really do think it has been a good investment for us. If you have other specific questions feel free to ask.

Thanks so much mommy23. I'll do that on the slide too. My son wants monkey bars he's so good at it. What height did you go with? We are considering two levels since my son is 6 & daughter is 3. We want the buoy ball, spiral slide, 3 swings, pirate ramp(maybe) or rock wall, we like the chalk walls on the fort. Too much to remember. I'm excited we have purchased a home that someone cancelled on so we can finish out the inside so it looks like we will be moving end of June instead of building from the beginning, it turns out they were building the same house but didn't like the back porch pitch on the roof he thought it was going to be a gable. My husband had it checked out by his work inspector & it's good to go!!!!YEA

It's all metal, has a nice wide (and long) slide, rope ladder, climbing wall, and a really great "deck" that the kids can get up to and look out over the yard. The roof is a durable plastic, and you can get either primary colors or "earth tones." (We went with earth tones because we didn't want to have the red, yellow, and blue roof easily visible from inside the house.)

WARNING - OFF TOPIC MESSAGE!!!!
Dimwit, I have to chuckle everytime I hear/see your screen-name. When I was just starting high school, freshman year, my family moved to California. There was a guy in my classes whose last name was Dinwiddie. OMG, the first time I saw and heard his name, I thought, even though it's DIN, not DIM, OMG that POOR guy!!!
And of course, this kid was smarter than most of the teachers.....

Well, we bought about 7 years ago, so it sounds as though there are many new options we didn't have available at the time we purchased. We only have the one level castle (no penthouse) but I think with the spiral slide you have to have the higher one, don't you? The monkey bars are very used on our system!

Oh cedarworks has some nice ones, but they are more pricey than Rainbow, I ordered a catalog awhile back! They are beautiful though.
